Course Synopsis

The brand development course has been designed to provide destinations with insight on how to improve and sell their unique business events brand. An effective brand strategy includes clear thinking on how the brand is developed, managed and projected.

Content

Throughout the course, you will explore:

  • What makes your destination stand out as a business events destination? 

  • How can you effectively plan and communicate your destination brand to your target audience?

  • What branding adjustments should you consider as a result of the pandemic?

Learning format

The course provides approximately 90 minutes of learning via a combination of live, instructor presentations and interactive student engagement.

A certificate of completion will be awarded at the end of the course.

Target Audience

The course is designed primarily for middle to senior level managers of CVBs and DMOs, associations and destination suppliers.

Course Instructors

Bruce Redor

Bruce is an established business events professional with over 25 years’ experience in the hospitality and service industry. Since he has been with GainingEdge, Bruce has been involved in numerous consulting engagements across Europe, Africa, Asia and the Middle East. Bruce is also a favored speaker in industry events across Europe. He facilitated brand development in South Africa, Luxembourg, Den Haag.

Paul Vallee

Paul has consulted for clients in Canada, the US, South America, Asia and Europe. He has more than 30 years’ experience including serving as the Managing Director for Best Cities Global Alliance. Paul has been an invited speaker around the globe and was on faculty at Capilano University in international destination marketing. He led the brand refresh for the alliance in 2019.

Mike Williams

Mike is a destination and convention and bureau specialist with 30 years’ experience in the industry. Since joining GainingEdge in 2007, he has been lead consultant in Australia, Asia, Africa, and the Middle East. Mike has facilitated numerous industry workshops and seminars across the globe with100+ sessions in the Asia-Pacific region. He facilitated brand development in Japan’s MICE cities, Malaysia, Daegu.
