In partnership with Paris Convention and Visitors Bureau and ViParis, this one-day interactive workshop, facilitated by GainingEdge, is for association meeting planners and convention bureaus.
Attendance is limited to a maximum of 15 destinations and 15 associations, offering participants an intimate environment to learn together and to build quality relationships.
At this workshop, representatives from European convention bureaus and international associations will have an opportunity to explore key issues related to this strategic topic. We are convinced that the unique format of this workshop will lead to greater appreciation and implementation of value-adds through the articulation of legacy impacts from future conventions.
The best conventions drive business results and transformative change for the long term. After the workshop, meeting planners will want to organize their conventions as part of a wider strategy with a focus on legacies, and not just meeting outcomes. By the same token, Convention Bureaus will want to make legacy impacts a part of their bid proposal and value-add for their clients.
A strategic legacy impact focus can also help cities win more bids when planners who want more purposeful meetings can envisage how their convention can positively impact the host community. Strong legacy programmes can help bureaus secure stronger government support for the conventions industry. Last but not least, this workshop is also a platform for bureaus to get to know better the associations who enroll.
Bureau participants have the option to invite their association executive who has already confirmed a future meeting and work with the organiser to plan the legacies which will be driven by their meeting outcomes. Registration per bureau participant is Euro350, and it is free registration for eligible association executives.
