Anna Abdelnoor

Co-founder, isla

Anna is the co-founder of isla - the independent industry body supporting the events sector transition to a more sustainable future. As the driving force behind isla, Anna articulates and leads the sustainability vision for the industry. Focusing on direct action, measurable targets, education and standardisation of the sector to accelerate and capitalise on global momentum to transform to a sustainable global society. 

Having worked with a plethora of agencies on large scale events for global clients, Anna knows just how capable the industry is in delivering huge projects under pressure and believes the same collaborative attitude is integral to addressing the climate crisis within the events sector.




Anna Green

Managing Director, Broadsword

A strong and capable leader and mentor, with a pragmatic and positive outlook, Broadsword’s Managing Director, Anna Green strives to create a cooperative and family-like environment. With a deep respect for hard work and determination, Anna’s focus on the team and desire to overcome challenges and help those around her succeed, is pivotal to her role.

Anna joined Broadsword in 2014, a former teacher with a background in technical theatre and stepped into the role of Managing Director in 2019. The London-based event communications agency produces a wide range of in-person, hybrid and virtual global corporate events. Key to Anna’s approach is doing the right thing – for Broadsword’s people, clients, the events industry and the planet – building sustainability, diversity and inclusion and well-being into all aspects of the business. 

Chloé Menhinick

Partner - Association Consulting, GainingEdge

Chloé is a specialist in network development and membership and in her 17 years experience in the Associations Industry, she has also provided strategic and operational leadership  across all areas of Association management & operations, including sponsorship & partnership, communications, marketing as well as strategic legacy planning. 

She is a passionate believer that Associations play a unique and critical role in helping achieve the UN 2030 Sustainable Development Goals and is driven to help Associations leverage their role as drivers of societal development.  Chloé is regularly called on to present at industry events, and enjoys writing articles for industry publications on a range of issues affecting the future of Associations. 


Mike Williams

Senior Partner, GainingEdge

Mike is a destination and convention and visitor bureau specialist with 30 years’ experience in the tourism and business events industry. Since joining GainingEdge in 2007 he has been a lead consultant on destination and convention bureau development for clients in Australia, Africa, China, Japan, Macao, Malaysia, Qatar, Rwanda, South Africa, South Korea, Thailand, United Kingdom & USA. Mike was also deeply involved in bureau development programmes in Japan, Macao and Thailand. He has also been providing consultancy support for convention centre developments around the globe, including a number within the Asia Pacific region. In addition, Mike oversees GainingEdge's in-market sales representation.

Mike will be facilitating the panel discussion.
