About
Once again GainingEdge will be organising a GainingLeads session at IMEX Frankfurt 2025.
Objective/Purpose:
- Offer opportunity to GainingEdge’s clients/contacts to achieve bid success through the sharing of bid intelligence.
- Promote the sharing of intelligence that will assist participants in developing bid strategies and provide a competitive edge when bidding for an event.
- Provide introductions and foster relationships among participants in the international meetings industry.
- Add value to IMEX participation for bureaus through the acquisition of more leads via GainingLeads.
GUIDELINES
Criteria:
Each participant is requested to provide one lead meeting the following criteria:
- International rotation (regionally rotating leads are excluded)
- Minimum 500 pax
- Association congress that rotates on a regular basis
- Must have been held within the past 2 years or future, OR bid won/lost within the past 2 years
- Lead must not be on our exclusion list (see table below)
- Live (in person), hybrid or virtual events are accepted if they meet the above criteria
- Each participant must commit to attend the session at IMEX Frankfurt
Once the lead is approved by GainingEdge, an online form will be provided. You can view the sample form – which needs to be completed AFTER your lead is accepted – here. GainingEdge will need to confirm that your lead fulfils the participation criteria and that there is no duplication.
Once the completed form is returned to GainingEdge, more detailed information may need to be gathered by GainingEdge and/or Participant (if there are gaps in the information). Please note if you participated in the program in previous years, you must provide a different lead in 2025. In addition, GainingEdge has the right of first offer if the same lead is provided by another city. This is to ensure that there is no duplication of leads. See below for leads included in the 2021 (online), 2022, 2023 and 2024 programmes which are automatically excluded for exchange in 2025.

In sufficient time prior to GainingLeads 2025, a comprehensive document of all leads, containing detailed information will be provided to all participants.
Note that there is a maximum capacity for 20 convention bureaus per session. Also note that we only accept max three bureaus per country on a first-come, first-served basis.

FAQ
Can more than one person from my team participate?
To keep the structure/flow as smooth as possible, and due to time constraints only one person per organization is permitted.
What is the cost to participate?
This session is a complimentary service offered by GainingEdge for our bureau clients and contacts. Hence, there are no costs involved.
Is a virtual/hybrid convention lead accepted?
Yes!
